Pistol suppressors

One hand guns offers a somewhat different aspect to sound suppression compared to long guns and rifles. The usually quite short barrel of a pistol gives a very high and sharp sound signature. A short barrel therefore produces very high sound levels and the means to lower the sound must be dealt with according to the following thoughts.

1. Maintaining handiness of the pistol is paramount.

2. Usually very short time to take aim.

3. Shots is fired at very short distances max 25 m - and usually shorter (2-10 meters).

4. Light weight is important.

With regards to pistols in service use, handiness is paramount (reflects on size and weight), but precision is not as important due to usual very short firing distance.

E.Ve-Tech baffles & The SB9pe

The E.Ve-Tech (Elastomer Valve Technology) baffle elements are the key element in obtaining amazing sound suppression effect without compromising the size of the sound suppressor. The special rubber elements wear out after about 50 – 100 shots pending on ammunition used and the rate of fire. Precision is somewhat impeded by these elements - but the effect is only approximately double the spread of the normal spread of the pistol. This WILL NOT affect the ability to hit the target at the very close ranges where a pistol is usually used.

The expendable baffle elements of the E.Ve-Tech sound suppressors offers the very best sound suppressing effect on the market today, and is at the same time very light - which means that the handiness of the pistol is preserved.

Baffle change and maintenance is very easy as complete change of elements can be done in less than a minute. Unlike other products on the market, the SB 9pe can be complete dismantled thus making cleaning easy. Cleaning / maintenance are far from necessary with each baffle change but generally it is recommended.
